Los Angeles Regional Science Olympiad

The Los Angeles Regional is one of the largest regionals in the country. Teams mostly come from Los Angeles County, while some come from Kern County. There are two qualifying Regional Tournaments for Divisions B and C, and one Division A-only Elementary Science Olympiad Tournament.

Registration is Open!

Game On B

For the 2019-2020 season, Southern California will be running Codebusters B in place of Game On B. This change only applies to Regional and State tournaments in Southern California. The rules for Codebusters can be found here.

Number of Teams per School

Schools going to the Antelope Valley College site may register up to two teams to attend that Regional Tournament. Schools going to the Rio Hondo College site may only register one team to attend that Regional Tournament. Any schools wishing to bring more than one team to the Regional Tournament should register for the AVC Tournament. Any additional registered teams may only participate at Invitational Tournaments.


Tournaments

Division B and Division C teams may compete at one of two LA Regional Tournament sites. The two sites are currently Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, CA, and Rio Hondo College in Whittier, CA. Division A teams may compete at one of two LA Elementary Science Olympiads: one is at Antelope Valley College, and the other is at TBD. Please see the tournament webpages for more details.
