the Southern California Science Olympiad Invitational for Division B and C will be held at Temple City High School on Saturday, January 16, 2027. This tournament will take the place of the USC Invitational.

Registration will open on Tuesday, September 29, at 4 p.m. Pacific Time at the Register Now button above. The registration fee will be $245 per team. That's not a typo! The fee is lower than last year's USC Invitational.

In order to allow more schools to participate, we’re limiting each school to two teams for the time being. Payment is required to reserve those spots. Schools interested in bringing a third team can list that team on the registration form to be placed on the waitlist. Beginning December 1, we will start moving teams off the waitlist in the order that we receive their registration fees to fill remaining spots in the tournament. If you would like, you may submit the fee for your third team now to secure your place in line.If you plan to pay via check, please mail two separate checks: one to cover the fee for the first two teams and one to cover the fee for the waitlisted team. If your team does not compete, we will shred the check. If you pay through PayPal, we will refund online.

The invitational will give students a chance to practice their events, test their devices, and gain competition experience before their regional tournaments.
