I'm excited to see you all this Saturday! There is one more room change for Helicopter B/C. It is now in T700 (approximately 12' x 18' x 8') (8' height). Additionally, if you have any colleagues at neighboring schools who are interested in Science Olympiad but aren't sure what it's about or where to get started, please invite them to the tournament this Saturday to check it out! We will be more than happy to take them around and show them what Science Olympiad is all about.

These adult volunteers will not require knowledge of the events and will be helping with tasks like timing, letting teams in, etc..

For all volunteers, make sure they complete the volunteer training program required by National Science Olympiad before tournament day.

Please note 3 important schedule/room changes:

  • Helicopter B/C will take place in the student center (SCT)
  • Mission Possible B no longer has impound (to be consistent with the rules)
  • Optics B will take place in UH 251
These changes are reflected on the schedule v4 linked below in the downloads section.

Team Check In

Head Coach check in will be on the south side of Uhazy Hall from 7:15-8:15am on the morning of the tournament. Head Coaches will need to submit the following forms and pick up wristbands for their team members:

  • Final team roster with the participants' names and grade levels
  • Release form for all participants, non-participating students, guests of the school
If an event requires impound, the device must be impounded during the time stated in the schedule. Teams will not need wristbands to impound their devices since the impound period is the same as the period when the head coach checks in and receives wristbands. However, per the rules, all devices must still be impounded by one or more of the 15 official team members. Parents or other non-participants may not impound devices for their team, but they may accompany the team members to help transport or carry things.

A taco truck will be present at the tournament for teams to order lunch from.

Parking

Campus parking passes will not be required. Vehicles parked in spots marked as reserved or disabled without proper passes/permits will be ticketed.
