Thank you for an amazing day on Saturday! With 51 teams competing, we are one of the largest Elementary
Science Olympiad events in the nation. I hope that you, your students, and your families all had a wonderful
experience. There is always room for us to grow, so please know that we plan to send out a survey for your
feedback as soon as it's available.

awards video. The Certificates of Appreciation and Certificate of Excellence have been emailed to the head coaches for their use.

Schedule & Room Assignments
The prefinal schedule with rooms has been uploaded to the webpage and can be viewed and downloaded at

Bathrooms
100 building, 200 building, Gym, 700 building bathrooms will be open at 7:00 am.
100/200 will close 12:30, gym will close 1:30pm, 700 will stay open through awards for use during the ceremony.
Map & Head Coach Check-In
A map of campus can be downloaded from our webpage
here. Head coach check in will be between the Media Center and the 100s/200s buildings. Head coaches will need to
submit the release forms for all participants and a signed team roster to receive wristbands for their competitors.
During check-in, we will be providing a trash bag for each team so that we can clean up after ourselves. We hope that teams will continue to help up with the Science Olympiad
tradition of keeping the campus the way we found it or better. If you need additional trash bags during the day, please don’t hesitate to ask us for more. Please be sure to place your trash bag in the trash bin on campus or take it home with you.
Parking & Home Bases

Drop off zone: The gate on Temple City Blvd (bottom part of the green area on the map) will be open Saturday morning for parents to drop off competitors while looking for parking.
Traffic control officers will be present to assist with directing students onto campus and with parking.
Car: Team parking will be available at Temple City High School in the parking lot off of Temple City Blvd (blue area on the map). The lot will open at 7:00am. Street parking
is also available on Camino Real and Oak.
Bus:
Buses will NOT be allowed into the Team Parking Lot for drop off or parking. Buses can drop off students on the west side of Temple City Blvd (green area on the map).
After dropping students off, bus drivers can circle back around and park on E Camino Real Ave. (north side of the football stadium). Another alternative is for them to go to the Santa Anita
Mall.
Home Bases: During the day, teams may set up home bases either in the Lunch Shelter area next to the 400 building, or in the main Quad area by the gym. Please do NOT set up on
any grass areas or directly adjacent to the 100 and 400 buildings, or adjacent to the side of the 300 building. Please do NOT run any extension cords or have any open heating elements.
Food on Campus
There will be two Mexican food trucks and a fluff ice truck selling food throughout the day. Light refreshments/beverages/snacks including hot coffee will also be available
for sale throughout the day.
Awards Ceremony
The Awards Ceremony will take place on the track and field starting at 1:45 PM or as soon as all events have been scored. Please clean up and pack up your home base BEFORE this.
Please sit with your team all together in the bleachers. There is no shade so plan accordingly. More logistics will be provided once everyone is seated.
Wheelchair Accessibility
Please let us know if anyone on your team requires wheelchair access.
Photography
Please do not enter closed competition areas. Additionally, please do not take photos of students not on your team.
Do not photograph or take videos of another team's device without their permission.

Roster/Release Forms + Map/Schedule
The roster form, release forms, map, and schedule can all be found in our
download section. Make sure each student fills out a release form. This will contain both the general release and the media release. In addition, each team needs to fill out 1 roster form. Bring these forms on the day of the event.

Login information was just emailed to the head coaches only of each team from the ESUS platform. If you did not receive the username and
password, please contact us immediately because the self-scheduled event online sign up will open Tuesday, April 14, at 5:00PM, and will close
on Tuesday, April 28, at 5:00 PM. You will NOT be able to sign up for these events after it closes. For technical issues, please contact
esus@socalscioly.org.

We have confirmed with the host that the 2026 Los Angeles Regional Elementary Tournament
will take place on May 2, 2026, at Temple City High School (9501 Lemon Ave, Temple City,
CA 91780). The Certificate of Insurance Instructions, Preliminary Schedule, Team Roster form, General
Release form have all been updated and can be found in the download section below.
Please note that the rules have also been updated as of December 20, 2025. Edits are made inline in the
rules docuemnt.
Welcome to the 2025-2026 Season!

Welcome to the 2025-2026 Elementary Science Olympiad season! My name is Christie Pearce, and I will be the Elementary Science Olympiad director for this season. We are so grateful to Ryan Wong for all of his prior leadership here in LA.
Registration is now open, and fees are the same as last year.
Important Updates for 2025-2026:
- New SoCal elementary event information can be found here
- New rules with a change from 16 to 15 events
- New team size with a change from 16 to 15 participants
Confirmed Dates and locations: (Updated 12/1/25)
Elementary Tournament at Temple City High School this year will be on Sat, May 2, 2026.
Number of Teams per School
There is no limit on the number of teams per school. Each team from a school participating in an Invitational or Regional Tournament must be registered with the state. All teams are expected to compete at the Regional Tournament.
